StartLogic is one of the most underrated web hosting providers on the market today. They provide good web hosting services and customer support. While their entry level plan is not that good, their Pro Plan will be good for a WordPress blog or an online store. If you are planning to start a small website that doesn’t require a lot of technical stuff then you could get a plan from StartLogic. On the downside, they don’t use a standard cPanel that makes it troublesome if you need to transfer to another server in the future. You should also consider that the price is cheap the first year, but it will be more expensive when you renew your plan.

StartLogic provides the standard features you expect to get from a shared hosting plan. But unlike other web hosting providers, they are honest with the bandwidth usage and storage space limits of their entry level package. And just like other shared hosting providers, they don’t allow a customer to use too much CPU. If your website is getting too must traffic and utilize a large portion of CPU, you will be asked to move to a dedicated server. If you are going to maintain a low traffic website then the resources provided by Startlogic is adequate. They also provide unlimited email accounts, a large number of MySQL databases, and spam protection. They provide a custom control panel, vDeck. It is light and clean but doesn’t have all the functions of the cPanel.

Reliability  

Uptime of StartLogic is good for a shared web hosting service. It goes to show that you can still get good uptime record from a shared web host as long as they maintain their servers properly. There are some web site operators that love the company, and there are those who hate them. A lot of bad reviews point out to extended downtimes. Each website is different, and even a respectable web host can have some downtime for scheduled maintenance. If the downtime is for a couple of days, then there’s a problem with the reliability of the provider. While the uptime of StartLogic is not the worst, it is also not that great. Pro Plan starts at $5.99 a month and provides unlimited disk space, bandwidth, websites on the account, email address. Customers can also have 10 MySQL databases. Supercharge is for small and medium sized businesses. It starts at $8.99 a month and comes with everything that the Pro plan has with the addition of e-commerce, site backup and restore, and SiteLock acceleration and firewall. Customers can also have unlimited MySQL databases.

Performance  

There are only two types of performance that you expect from a web hosting provider. They can either be fast or slow. Web site operators love fast web hosting providers. StartLogic manages to sustain above average loading speeds for the websites they host in their servers. Their data centers have redundant power supplies, fiber optic connection, surveillance systems, generators for backup power, and fast speed Internet source. These features allow the company to provide reliable and fast web hosting services 24/7.

Customer Support  

StartLogic provides customer support through a toll-free number, live chat and email ticket system. Their technical support staff is knowledgeable about the problems that customers face and can provide quick resolutions to them. Issues are handled professionally. There are some mixed reviews about the customer support provided by the web hosting company, but this is already a given considering the number of websites that are hosted on their server. Some tickets are not answered right away. They provide the standard knowledgebase and troubleshooter on their website to help people take care of their own problems.
